  • Who are the Power Walk classes good for?
        Power Walk classes are for everyone!  Busy moms, Seniors, kids...  If you can walk, you can do this workout.  
  • Why walk for exercise?
        Walking is the foundation for all fitness.  You can always add other types of workouts into your rotation.  
        Brisk walking on a regular basis will keep you fit enough to participate in other activities.  BRISK walking is what makes
        this workout effective--we're not just taking a stroll (though a stroll around the block is good, too!).
  • What kind of strength training is added to the walking workout?
       We use firm bands, also known as resistance bands, to work our upper bodies.  Your chest, shoulders, back, biceps and    
       triceps will all get a great workout.  Ladies, no need to worry...you won't become "bulky" with strength training. 
       Quite the opposite, actually.  Five pounds of muscle has a smaller area than five pounds of fat.  The result?  The strong,
       lean look you want!
  • What equipment do I need for the class?
      Comfortable clothes, walking/cross-training shoes, water and enthusiasm are all you need! 
      I supply the resistance bands needed for the strength training portion of the workout.
  • What if I've never worked out on a regular basis?
       That's OK!  Everyone "walks" at their own pace.  Go slower when you need to; and as you get stronger, your pace will
        increase.  There's no right or wrong way to do this class.  The most important thing is that you're moving!
