I have been using Leslie Sansone's walking program since the birth of my son. It was a great way for me to lose all the weight I gained (60+ pounds!), get back into shape and keep the weight off.
What I love most about this program is that it's one that I can easily stick with. I've done just about every program out there (DVD's, bootcamps, dance-based classes), but I always return to this walking program. The 4 basic steps are simple - which is exactly what I need. The most effective workout is the one that you want to continue doing!
In addition, with this program, I've been able to train for several races--including three half-marathons. I'm never the fastest, but I know I'm strong enough to finish!
In December 2011, I had the privilege of getting to workout with Leslie Sansone in an upcoming DVD, set for release in early 2012.
My husband even likes joining me in a walking workout. Because it is low-impact, he does not experience the knee pain that he does when going for an outdoor 3 mile walk around our local park.
My goal is to support my clients while helping them get in better shape, become more active and achieve good health. And hopefully, we'll have a little fun while we're at it!
